Preview of the Next CTPC Meeting |
January 22, 2008 - 6:30 p.m. |
Are you tired of AT&T’s or Verizon’s indecipherable and costly monthly
bills. Are you frustrated by their limited and expensive features? Have you
heard of VoIP, a different type of phone service based upon modern internet
technology? Do you wonder whether VoIP is right for you? Come to our next
meeting and get some answers.
Richard Frisch, of RHFtech and president of the Fairfield County Computer
Users Group, will present Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) at the next
meeting of the CTPC. He will discuss what VoIP is, how it differs from
traditional telephone service, why you want VoIP and why not. He will also
review emerging telephone/voice technology alternatives.
As always, you can run your perplexing PC questions past the group during “Random Access,” and we’ll entertain kudos and gripes about all things computerized during “Picks and Pans.”
The “Pizza SIG” follows at Uncle Joe’s.
