Preview of the Next CTPC Meeting |
May 27, 2008 - 6:30 p.m. |
The recent increased use of digital cameras has enhanced the popularity of Computer handling and storage programs for business and family photos. At our May 27th meeting, Earl Eschweiler, Chief Instructor at the Norwalk Senior Center, will present an overview of Photoshop Elements, a "lite" version of Adobe Photoshop that was introduced several years ago and has been upgraded to improve the operation with Windows XP.
Photoshop Elements 4.0 is a robust, powerful program that requires some effort to learn its many features. While some of the free photo handling programs emphasize the use of brightness and contrast as the best solution to improve the photo quality, Photoshop Elements 4.0 adds a number of other features to enhance the clarity, storage, restoration and organization of important family treasures found in photographs. A new version 6.0 has been introduced recently with "fine tuning" for operation with Windows Vista.
Earl Eschweiler has been teaching Computer courses at various levels for the past twelve years and has taught photo handling programs such as Picasa and Photoshop Elements numerous times. For several years, he has taught 10 hour Photoshop elements 4.0 courses concentrating on enhancing the clarity of photos with 'finely honed" techniques. He also teaches a course on Photo restoration. We are pleased that Earl is joining us this month. His presentation may help you make a decision to utilize this excellent program .
As always, please let us know you computer-related likes and dislikes during "Picks & Pans" and let us try to solve your computer problems during "Random Access." After the presentation, we will be going to Uncle Joe's Pizza restaurant on New Canaan ave.for refreshments.
Don't miss our June meeting as we will have Ed Fitzgerald, CTPC member, and Technical Support person at Coldwell Banker Westport demonstrating the software, processes used, narration and sharing of virtual Tours used in real estate marketing and sales efforts.
