New Technology Used in Police Work
Our June 22nd meeting will be held in the Community room of the Norwalk
Police Hdqs at One Monroe Place Norwalk CT.
The Norwalk Police Dept has agreed to have our meeting in their facility and
will brief us on uses of technology in modern police work. No doubt you are
aware that Police Patrol cars are equipped with laptops to facilitate fast
communications to the Hdqs when necessary. We will also see a demo of the new
license plate scanners currently being used in Norwalk. Lt Purveen John, Systems
and Information Mgr of the Norwalk Police Dept, will conduct the meeting which
should be very interesting to those of us that have interest in technology.
When you arrive at the Hdqs, go to the lobby where you will be directed to
the Community room. Parking is adjacent to the building. Please arrive by 6:30
PM as we are time limited in the use of the room. We will also have our normal
Picks & Pans and Random Access sessions. After the meeting we will go to Uncle
Joe's for Pizza and refreshments. Join us for an interesting evening.
