Preview of the Next CTPC Meeting |
July 26, 2011 - 6:30 p.m. |
Norbert (Bob) Gostischa will present "Protecting Yourself and Your Identity Online". Bob is an accomplished presenter who comes to us via Prague, Czechoslovakia and Los Lunes, New Mexico. He has presented this topic to dozens of Computer & Technology Clubs in Arizona and is now touring/presenting to other clubs that fit his schedule. We were fortunate to book him for our July meeting. Thanks to John Roy from TPCUG in Trumbull for the recommendation.
This presentation focuses on normal computer users, rather than “IT geeks,” and clearly explains security myths, internet dos and don’ts, the evolution of computer threats, and much more. Internet security (protecting both your computer and your identity online) can be demystified. Bob will simplify, clarify, and demystify your computer, making your internet experience a safer one. This is a presentation not to be missed!
Our meeting begins at 6:30 PM and will last until 8:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the Silver Star Diner 210 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk ( Exit 14 on I-95) We encourage you to remain after the meeting for some socializing and to have Pizza, Salad and the refreshment of your choice at the Silver Star. Costs are normally less than $14/person. They are allowing us to use the facility at "no charge” and we think they deserve some benefit for their generosity.
